Install Win7 on Dell Inspiron 1501

Thanks to MerlinUK on AMD Game Forums, I have managed to get the video card driver to work on Win7. You can find the original post here.

If you are running x86,

  1. Download Catalyst 9.3
  2. Extract Catalyst and browse to X:\ATI\Support\9_3_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\pakages\drivers\display\LH_INF
  3. find

    4. [Manufacturer]
    %ATI% = ATI.Mfg, NTx86.6.0, NTx86.6.1

    and change it too

    [Manufacturer]
    %ATI% = ATI.Mfg, NTx86.6.0

  4. Now manually install this modified .inf from Device Manager, ignore the warning
  5. Enjoy Win7 with correct resolution, though there’s no transparent effect for me, but at least it’s better than the distorted 4:3 display icon biggrin Install Win7 on Dell Inspiron 1501

found a better solution, just go to this website and download Catalyst Version 8.12, extract the installer and manually install the driver in device manager, everything works, including aero!

居然已經過了差不多半年幾乎沒有休息的日子了

貌似 我居然還蠻習慣的…

每天睡最多6個小時 靠咖啡支撐著過一天 貌似也蠻好的

失業了卻不敢說出來死要面子維持”Authority”的父親佐々木竜平（香川照之）, 外表溫柔得不像話卻內心無助的媽媽佐々木恵（小泉今日子）, 一心想保護家庭為了維護世界和平而參軍（還是美軍）的大兒子佐々木貴（小柳友）, 有點小叛逆的音樂天才小兒子佐々木健二（井之脇海）, 隨時間慢慢展開的平淡故事, 經濟蕭條中一個平凡家庭的巨變就這樣在眼前呈現. 原來, 恐怖大師黒沢清拍生活片也能拍得這麼一針見血. 大量的長鏡頭跟讓人想苦笑卻又笑不出的黑色幽默, 讓人震撼的殘酷現實, 以及片尾感動得讓人流淚的「月光曲」, 果然這個 “黑澤明第二” 不是白叫的.
